To The Cameo Users,
Thanks to all of you who informed us of the situation in a very timely manner, the community is the heart and soul of the project and I greatly appreciate it. You all should be happy to know that the hosting problem has been resolved but we still had to created a work-around for the issue with the now defunct download directory. All versions have been reuploaded as self extracting .exe files (for better compression and smaller download sizes) to a new directory and are now available for download on the download page, and remember to update your links and bookmarks for the new URL and new download directory. By the way we are looking for people to contribute language packs for Cameo. If you are willing to take on that task please contact us for more information. Another update is that we added a Comments/Guestbook section to the site.
Thanks!

Untill the hosting problem is resolved you can download Cameo Lite here. Cameo Ultimate is available for download here. It is in 3 parts so you must download all 3 before you extract.

Regarding the Broken Download Links; The hosting company did not like the amount of traffic created on upload since it was from a different IP address than the usual computer we upload from (at least that is the impression they are giving us). We are working very hard on a quick fix for this with the company. Let's cross our fingers this will be functioning again in a few hours. Until then the bare shell has been uploaded to a different directory and is still available for download here. By the way, we now have a .com for Cameo instead of using the BinaryBums.com subdomain, so update your bookmarks to CameoProject.com and if you like Cameo please 'Digg' it.
Thanks!

The new Cameo PDE Ultimate And Lite are availble for download. The Ultimate version is ideal for fresh installs of Windows or for someone that conducts all their buisness from a thumbdrive. The Lite version is just the basic apps you would need on the go.

Well GNU still sucks, but the project is back and alive. I have gathered a few new members to the team and we will finally get this out in the first part of 2010. I apologize to everyone who has been waiting for the official release and have been disappointed. Look for it very soon, with some updates, and a more 'fuck the bullshit' attitude towards legal so we can use the apps we/you all want.

Work sucks, people have bailed on this project, and I am now sorting out another legal hurdle. WTF happen to freeware, this GNU crap sucks.

OK, we know it has been 2 months since any updates, but a few people on the project bailed, so now it is a 2 man project, one R&D the other development. For the sake of the Cameo project we need people to help out, please contact us if you are interested. The first official Cameo PDE is still in development since we finally sorted out some legal bullshit, but once again if you have even any ideas or know some good applications to add PLEASE contact us.

Version One of the Cameo Shell is released. You can get it from the Download page or by clicking here, the PDE is having some final touches put on it before it is released.
June 11 2009
The first official release of the Cameo Shell will be up and posted in a matter of days, the PDE version will follow shortly after. In the next iteration of the shell, it will be much more stable, increased portability and speed, Vista bug fixes for those poor souls stuck with that horrible OS, and a bit more. So keep checking back as it will be up in a matter of days.

Well all the GPL source code is posted now and can be accessed via the download page.

Well we have been hit by some disappointing news, for the time being we have to remove the Mozilla programs bundled with Cameo until some trademark crap is sorted out. So we are forced to have a new release, that has been dubbed the beta 2 tMoz remix. It is the same as beta 2 except it does not include any Mozilla applications, as they have to be removed until further notice from the Mozilla Foundation. So, what does that mean for the web browser and e-mail client included, Firefox has been replaced with Google's Chrome web browser, and Thunderbird has been replaced with the Reach-A-Mail e-Mail client. Hopefully by the next official release this will be sorted out, as we are too broke to afford any legal bullshit. Also if you would like to help contribute to this project and are familiar with NSIS or C++ please contact us.
